RBS International Depositary Services chosen to support European renewable energy infrastructure fund
RBS International Depositary Services is pleased to announce that it will be strengthening its relationship with Glennmont Partners after being appointed as the chosen depositary for the Nuveen European Core Renewable Infrastructure Fund.
The appointment builds upon RBS International’s partnership with the London-headquartered fund manager, having helped Glennmont Partners in 2015 with banking support to their ‘First Fund’ vehicle.
Glennmont Partners is one of Europe’s largest fund managers focusing exclusively on investment in clean energy infrastructure. With a 15-year track record and more than €2.7 billion of assets under management across sites throughout Europe, the Glennmont team has an established reputation for making intelligent, long-term investments that deliver absolute returns.
The new open-ended fund, which has an initial raising of €700 million will invest in brownfield, renewable energy assets and projects across continental Europe, including the Netherlands, the UK, France, Spain, Italy, the Nordics, Germany and the other Benelux countries. It seeks to generate clean power and lower CO2 emissions, thus helping to reduce the pace of climate change.
In addition to the depositary services, RBS International’s Luxembourg branch is also providing bank accounts to the Nuveen European Core Renewable Infrastructure Fund.
Matthew Hiscock, Director, Alternative Funds, RBS International Depositary Services, said:
‘’Our appointment by the Glennmont board to act as their chosen depositary for Nuveen European Core Renewable Infrastructure Fund is testimony to the long-standing relationship we have developed with the team since supporting them with their first fund in 2015."
