The newly created role which has coverage across both NatWest Trustee and Depositary Services and RBS International Depositary Services Luxembourg, will focus on the expansion of services and capabilities to provide clients with real time insights on Liquidity, ESG and thematic investor behaviour.
Prior to his arrival at NatWest TDS, James spent over 30 years with Bank of New York Mellon, most recently as the Executive Director of their London Branch and Managing Director of the Depositary Receipts business where BNYM are the largest global market participant.
Commenting on his new role, James Green said “I am passionate about imagination, creativity, connectivity and progress. Having worked with technical pioneers it is abundantly clear to me that there is a gulf between what many depositaries currently do for their clients and what the possibilities are. As we have seen through the global pandemic, the real tests come when people are not prepared, don’t truly understand the challenge they face and the target keeps moving. We are here to address that by using data and insight to help our customers thrive.”
Mark Crathern, Head of NatWest Trustee and Depositary Services said “We want to transform our business and build the depositary of the future - an automated, digital, cloud-based provider of depositary services with the ability to share relevant insights based on the comprehensive data we have. The team that James builds will be instrumental in this goal to expand our services and capabilities, and I’m really excited to see how the expertise and knowledge James brings with him to his role will impact our business.”
